Why not learn a new skill and an ancient craft? The next Stone Carving, Letter Carving and Relief Courses with Simon Burns-Cox start again in September 2019 and continue throughout the year at The Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.

Two Day Introductory Stone Letter Carving Course

This Two Day Introductory Stone Letter Carving Course is designed to introduce you to the art of Stone and Letter Carving.

The next courses are on Saturday 14th and 21st September 2019 from 10.00 to 16.30. Maximum five participants and open to all levels. The course price is £165 with the use of stone and tools included.

Five Week Stone Carving, Letter Carving and Relief Course

This course takes place on a Monday morning from 10.00 to 13.00 over five weeks and is designed to introduce you to all types of stone carving, letter carving and relief. It also allows those who have attended the course in the past to continue where they left off and to gain further skills.

The next course is on Monday  9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th September and the 7th October 2019 from 10.00 to 13.00. Maximum five participants and open to all levels. The course price is £170 with the use of stone and tools included.

Private Tuition in Sculpture, Stone Carving, Letter Carving and Relief

Private tuition with Simon Burns-Cox is available in Sculpture, Stone Carving, Letter Carving and Relief throughout the year at flexible times. The course prices are are as follows:

£125 per day (10.00 to 16.30) per person

£225 for two days (10.00 to 16.30) per person

£250 for five mornings (10.00 to 13.00) per person

These individual and private groups are suitable for school holiday activities for children over the age of 12 with parental agreement.
